Reason for adoption: They were my ex-partners birds and I took them on as they could not care for them appropriately. I am not in a position to be able to train them or care for them long term due to travel and expenses.

Known behavioral problems: Sweetie (female) is adverse to hands and will bite or aggress when threatened. I have worked with her where she trusts me enough to be on my head or shoulder and not bite but only when she wants to be there. Benny (male) and Sweetie are a bonded pair and she can be very possessive of him.

Positive Notes: These two babies only need time and training to be wonderful companions. Sweetie has a strong and confident personality who will thrive with someone who has the patience to earn her trust and allow her to thrive. Benny is the sweetest boy and needs someone to give him the opportunity to be his sweet lovely self with confidence and not hide behind his mate. They are both DNA tested and come as a pair with all their cages, toys, perches, and screen with a magnetic closure that can be used to make a large enclosure for free flight. They are 3 years and have not shown any inclinations towards breeding at this time.

Reason for adoption: He doesn't seem to be thriving in our home. With some work I have gained some of his trust but he seems to prefer other birds over people, but our conure doesn't like him so he is not really getting socialization in the way he deserves.

Known behavioral problems: Can be loud/tends to scream. In the fall when he is hormonal he tends to want to tear at his flight and tail feathers so during this time he struggles to fly. Can be timid with unknown people initially.

Positive Notes: Loves target training and is very gentle with his beak. He knows how to step up. He can mumble a few words and whistle but not really a talker. Eats fresh veggie chop daily along with pellets.
